Everyday Kind of Days - April 2013

I try really hard to not take too many pictures on my phone BUT it is so nice to have to snap anywhere at anytime and when I get to the end of the month I realize how many times it captured everyday kind of moments and it makes me smile!

I co-chaired K's elementary school golf tournament fundraiser on April 1st. This guy not only helped get some sponsors and players but played as well and it was so nice to be out there in the middle of the day on the beautiful golf course - a date of sorts!

Carter working hard on writing his name

About 5 minutes before I had to leave to pick up B at school I heard a crash and turned to see this mess - glass everywhere.

I think groovy girl won - Spider Man Down. And to think this was a sick day for Brooklyn

Hate waking him up everyday to go pick up sisters - but love seeing this sweet sleeping face
Tim thought he would be cute and wear my old HS cheerleader button that Kennedy found that morning.
Only problem was we were heading to church - and it was a new church. Thankfully I am used to his sense of humor and ways. It has seriously made me a much less worried about what others think person - most of the time :-)

He insists, INSISTS every time we head to Old Navy to take his picture on the dog -
I bet I have 10 pics like this over the last year

A very fun activity that kept Carter entertained for a long time - thank you Pinterest

more and more name practice
Fun birthday lunch for Casey - what great girls and friends they have gotten to be this past year!

JOY!

Girls night out - the boys headed to the car auction and we headed to Mexican food!

That weekend we headed back to the car auction as a family and had a lot of fun!
Perfect weather and weekend to go hit some balls on the course

Little Miss wants to take golf lessons this summer - her determination and drive is incredible!

One of K's many pictures for her sister - our little artist shines

Kindergarten field trip where this guy got to tag along

Best friends showing the camera what they got at The Aquarium for Kindergarten field trip

A very familiar scene lately - love hearing her progress and confidence kick in in the reading department

Baking time with the Master Chef

Celebrating a 100% on her popcorn word test earlier that day - candle in the pizza kind of day

Amazing what a box can do for entertainment even at these ages! They used it as a boat for two days.
I didn't even capture a picture with all of their crew (animals and Mazie) in it too.

Sunday morning before church - LOVE
He had had it that day and just wanted to be DONE

Shoe shopping at it's finest with these two

At times I give Carter my phone to look at pictures and than when I go through them later I find all sorts of interesting pictures of himself, shelves at the grocery store or me looking at Hobby Lobby for paper for my mom's party

He can chew gum finally - we make our kids wait awhile and so he was almost 4 and hit his magic day. My favorite line from him that first day - while talking and chewing..."Oh mommy!!!!" "I can chew gum AND talk at the same time!" Magic people

Very very blurry but very fun night out at a dueling piano bar with some friends.
We ate an an amazing Tapas restaurant before that - delish!!!

In awe of the machine that made Mazie's tag for her collar

Found this as I was doing laundry one afternoon - courtesy of Brooklyn

Finally got her splint off from her fracture - familiar scene with this little lady

Waiting for our flight to Phoenix - such great little travelers

Uncle B showing off his strength with Carter's help

A sweet thank you from Nonie after her birthday weekend - these kids devoured the goodies

Feeding ducks and turtles one morning - simple times are the best

Ready for their first swim of the season - still so cold!

Familiar scene with this guy - lots of lego building in this house

Our family sweetaholics!!!

We don't leave home without our wicky sticks - great for waiting in restaurnts

Kennedy's writing was highlighted for the month of April in the halls - what an author she is!

Friday Fun by Day & by Night - Nonie's Birthday Weekend

Friday was the perfect kind of girly day! We headed to get our toes done with bright fun colors that fit the flip flop wearing personalities that we have! What a treat to be able to spend the day with my mom and my girls! Tim and Carter were busy looking at all the fun cars in Scottsdale and checking out a car museum and than were able to go have lunch with Grandma Judy!

I cannot believe how grown up Kennedy looks in this picture!

This is my little girl who hardly sits still - but she managed while her nails dried

Up next we headed to True Food - I wish I had tried this place earlier than this trip because it was one of my favorite meals and super healthy. We were able to meet up with my mom's cousin Jean who was in town for the weekend and Aunt Betsy and Uncle Butch. I realized yet again as hard of a time as I have with my kids growing up it was such a blessing to be able to sit there for a nice long lunch on the patio and they were FINE! They fit right in, talked, laughed and didn't complain once that we were there for over two house. No one was ready to get up with the company and the beautiful weather!

Everywhere we went we told them it was Nonie's birthday - the girls loved that and the dessert that came with it.

Love love Brooklyn's in this picture - Priceless!

My heart is full when I see these sisters in action

Uncle B joined us...Brooklyn turned into a budding photographer this trip!

Such a beautiful place to walk around - loved spending time with the family here!

Friday night we found ourselves eating popcorn, pretzels and yelling Let's Go Coyotes (more like Cay-Otes though) surrounded my major hockey fans that scowled at Nonie for swiping their fan appreciation towels off their seats! She had reason though...the little boy who sat down behind Carter dropped his drink right down Carter's back and his whole Sprite puddled below where Nonie needed rainboots to slosh through. So she did what any mom would do she swiped all the towels she could around her and cleaned up. We made it right by putting some extras back on their seats and all was right with the hockey world for a moment. This was the first hockey game our kids had been too and it was fun to take them to a new kind of sporting event.

Carter loved it - went from concentrating on every move, to yelling like a true fan, eating popcorn and crashing on the way home. All the norm for a sporting event!
Coyotes Hockey Game - AZ April 2013

Fun night for sure and glad Betsy was able to fly in that afternoon and join us. We capped off the night with none other than...
A trip to In & Out of course! Teaching our kids the art of eating In & Out in the late hours of the night on vacation!
