New Years Eve & Day

New Years Eve took a turn toward the tween this year! We are normally pretty low key - meaning we are asleep before midnight. This year KK asked if she could have a few friends spend the night and celebrate New Years at our house. I hesitated dreaming easily of camping out on the sofa with a glass of wine but then I realized WE ARE HERE! We are already here at the age where my 12 year old daughter wants to celebrate more than just with a family party and she wants to do it here. HECK yes we can have friends over and I will go buy every single bag of candy I can find! The girls had a great time and it was fun to meet some new middle school friends of hers...and sweetest thing from the night was that this group was so gracious and kind and included Brooklyn and Carter in on everything. I do know a certain big sister and her good attitude towards them leads the way and for that I am grateful for her heart!

Each New Years Day we celebrate by going over to our friends the Justices and eating, hanging out and watching the guys be boys with their fireworks!! Always so fun even with our umbrellas and rain gear this year.

What New Year's is complete without a noisy parade!?!?!?

Bring on 2015!
