Special Delivery from the North Pole

Nonie wasn't originally supposed to come in for Christmas until two days after this year. The girls were really bummed, especially Kennedy! I love this girls heart and oh my she reminds me of me loving traditions and keeping them the same. She kept saying this Christmas is going to be different and not fun because no one will be here Christmas Eve or Christmas morning. Well it happened that my mom was able to come in earlier after all and so when we found out we never told the girls. When we got home Christmas Eve after church I listened to the voicemail and started shrieking. The girls asked what was wrong...I said Santa had just left a message and said he had a package that he wanted us to have Christmas Eve before he could get here BUT we had to go pick it up at the airport. It was coming in special delivery. So the three of us headed to the airport (pajamas and all, for the girls not me) to go pick up this special package. We were waiting at baggage for it when all of a sudden Nonie came up behind the girls. Their faces were priceless. And the cutest part was after all the excitement, Brooklyn kept going, "but where is the package?" She still talked about that a couple of days after no matter how many times we told her that Nonie was the package. Next time we go to the airport that girl will still be looking for the package!
