This was the perfect kind of night for Christmas Light Pajama Cocoa Party! But of course their were rules...fun rules but rules nonetheless...and rules that our resident Safety Patrol Carter shouted out if we weren't following them quite as he had pictured..."Mommy, the Christmas music isn't loud enough!" "Mommy, the girls aren't singing loud enough!" He took these rules and made sure we were all following!
Must Wear Pajamas!
Must Listen to Christmas Music!
Must Sing LOUDLY to the Christmas music!
Must Stop for Hot Chocolate/coffee IN your pajamas!
Must eat a cookie or two (or my kids said THREE)!
My favorite part of the night was how much we laughed at Starbucks...first we had to convince Kennedy that it was no big deal to go into Starbucks in PJ's and to be fair she really only had pj pants on, her shirt was a regular Christmas shirt so people probably wouldn't even notice. We also told her she wouldn't see these people probably ever again not to mention that they wouldn't be analyzing what we were doing much past that night :). We laughed so hard that one guy came over and said what's the special occasion??? We told him and he loved the idea and looked at Kennedy and Brooklyn and said I love your pajamas! Kennedy's eyes got as big as saucers and she looked right at my mom and I and said, "I thought you said no one would notice my pajamas!" and then she started laughing and couldn't stop. Another guy stopped us and told us Merry Christmas and he thought it was awesome how much fun we were having and how neat it was to watch! And proceeded to tell us where some great houses with lights and music were. Fun fun Christmas Eve Eve and best part was everyone was ready for bed when we got home...even with a few cookie crumbs on their shirts!
