Favorites from Christmas Eve

These pictures just make me smile...we always come home from church and everyone knows not to take an ounce of clothing off until we have taken a few pictures. I hear myself saying aloud only 50+ times in the month of December, "this is all mommy really wants for Christmas, family pictures (oh and if you see those cute black rain boots maybe those too :-)). But during the beginning of January where we all have these huge aspirations of re-organizing, and TO STOP eating all that sugar (ya right, tomorrow) many times I just still sit here and look at my half put away Christmas stuff, half put away decor, the blog that has been so neglected and missed so many of our comings and goings for 2013. But New Years is a time to just dig in and start anywhere. So I could have gone back three months to start, but instead I just found the first few pictures that caught my eye and made me smile and took me back to the sometimes blurry,  sleep deprived state of December and it clicked...this is when we can really remember what those moments felt like and see the reflections of the year. This is why I love pictures and sharing with family and reflecting on them personally. I see the smiles on my kids faces and although they may have been fighting the minute before or annoyed at yet another picture, the laughs and fun moments I pray are what sticks out and the legacy and memories that are living on through these shots!

Keeping it real - the best we got of the four of them!

Classic couple photo right?

Happy Christmas Eve Favorites - at least the pre-jammies ones! :-)
Did I mention we eat Christmas Eve dinner in our pj's!?!?
