Oh the fashion police had better not show up to our house lately, because the groupies are in full force. It is actually a crack up and I find myself looking forward to each and every day and what outfit or SIX we are going to end up in today. Tim and I were talking and I really need to get better at grabbing my camera for each and every fashion moment but seriously the girl changes faster than I can grab my camera. I of course am talking about Brooklyn. The joy of being the second girl, more independent and doing things faster or at least before asking if she can and with a mommy not in your face every second like the first child. She wears her ballet costume to the farmer's market, her leotard and tutu with winter boots and no tights to run errands and that's just the beginning. And the kicker is she puts all these together on her own. I might start her own fashion magazine or something. Here is one of the latest.
And then we have Kennedy and her socks. The latest and greatest fashion trend in school is wearing mismatched socks. Great news for me because when putting laundry together, I don't have to match. One less thing to worry about :)
And then we have the balance...not sure about you but I am always trying to find balance...or asking God to show me balance. Balance as a wife, mom, daughter, friend and throwing a hobby or using a God given gift in there too. Well as I took some pictures of Carter the other day, the word balance struck perfectly and I just smiled. This is called being the youngest of two sisters in a house still FILLED to the brim of girly girl things BUT still playing with cars! LOVE it!
And this is my sweet almost 8 year old who has begged and pleaded over the past year to get her hair cut short. We fought it and fought it and well I will let you see...
I love it and it is perfect for her, but more than that after she got it cut despite feeling crummy from a tummy bug she smiled bigger and brighter and looked so happy with her new do. And couldn't wait to go show off her newness to her friends and classmates and anticipated who was going to notice. She is mighty proud and that's what I love most!
