AZ + March Weather + Cousins = Park Day

With the time change and traveling all three bumblebees were up at 5:20am bouncing and dancing all around and my mom was loving every minute of it. As soon as I saw that first peek of sunlight I threw on my running shoes, strapped on my ipod and was gone.

It felt awesome to see the beautiful blue sky and take off running in the dry air...heaven! It was fun running in a new place, new route, new sights and I pushed myself trying to train for a race I was going to do this weekend with 11 miles which while I have done before have never done on my own. I was pretty excited but towards the end happened to check my phone for time and saw I had missed only 6 calls from my mom and 4 from my aunt plus some texts. I am used to telling Tim "going out for a long run" and him knowing what that means...not so much for my "two moms."

Saturday afternoon found us with my mom's side of the family at the park. Nothing beats chasing kids, watching made up dance and singing routines, laughing, swings, the AZ sunset, watching my more mature cousins sneak white wine into blue plastic cups, a bucket of KFC, bags of chips, skinned knees, frosting covered mouths and everything in between. So thankful my kids get this experience, although not enough! This is all the stuff that made up my childhood, the stuff that I still remember and that makes our big family just that, family!
