The Only Evidence

That we actually attended the Rodeo in 2011 was snapping the morning after picture...uggg cannot believe I forgot my camera disk. I was snapping away inside the Livestock Show not checking at first and then about 15 pictures later looked down to see how a certain one had turned out and those big ugly letters stood bright white saying NO DISK. I had been downloading pictures earlier and although was super organized (for me) with the camera, bag, lenses, etc sitting right next to the door hours before we walked out it didn't matter because the disk was still in the computer. Of all years too since Carter is at the perfect age for the Livestock show. It made me feel a little bit better when we realized that the rows and rows of animals we usually see, talk to, take pictures with and plug our noses around were scarce. We counted all the animals on one hand, make that 5 total. One bull and the rest cows. CRAZY, but sad that it gave me some sense of satisfaction that at least if I was going to blow it in the picture department at a rodeo I only missed FIVE animals. Why they chose Sunday to switch out the animals is weird but this is probably why no one is knocking on my door asking me to the be on the rodeo committee or something like that! We still had a great time and saw our favorites of course: barrell racing and mutton busting (little kids riding sheep with helmets)! That and some rodeo food ALMOST made me forget about my camera! And you can count that as I ran in the door my first stop was the computer to grab my disk and put it in the camera...and there it sat that night right next to the door ready & waiting for a trip to the zoo on Monday with Kennedy's 2nd Grade Field Trip!
