I asked them if they could make their own fortune cookie what would they write on the inside. Kennedy said you can still have the best day ever even if there are some bad parts to it (I think I have read one like that somewhere :). Brooklyn's was a little deeper, Strawberries included!
Kennedy was sick this week with a sinus infection so she got to spend the day hanging out with Carter and me. While we waited for her medicine at the pharmacy, I took the two to Panera for a little breakfast date and she says after chowing on her Cinnamon Crunch Bagel, "YES, I finally got my appetizer back!
One of Brooklyn's favorite parts of her day is after I put Carter down for a nap...she knows she gets a half hour or so of just mommy time to play a game without cards, pieces, or chips being thrown, grabbed, moved, etc. Or we can read books in peace, or do a fun project. Well one day she decided she just wanted to lay on her bedroom floor and talk and read. After our "deep" talk she looks at me and smiles and says, "mommy, that was a good converstation!"
One night this week after I put Carter to bed, I went into to Brooklyn's room to read and tuck her in and I think if I let her the girl would draw out tucking in and saying goodnight for two hours. She likes her back rubbed, arms tickled, hugs, butterfly kisses, eskimos, anything. She asked me mommy can you just lay with me longer and rub my back more. I said no honey, not tonight I have to go put sis down and you know Daddy is out of town and there is just one mommy. She sighs a big sigh and says, "hmmmm I wish there were 4 of you mommy...one to put Carter down, one to put Kennedy down and one to put me down and one to clean up." I looked at her, gave her the biggest hug and said sometimes I wish there were four of me too!
So as I was enjoying these funny converstations this week Carter was enjoying this...

Very cute sayings and will be fun to look back on. I wish there were four of me sometimes too! So I have to ask, is that a yogurt push up pop that Carter is eating??!! If so, I have looked for those in the stores before and not been able to find them. I used to LOVE eating those as a kid!!
