When the girls are together there is a lot of love, giggles, encouragement, negotiating, creating, teaching, some fighting, sleepovers, dancing, singing, shows for any audience around, dressing up, changing outfits, fashion shows, hula hoop shows, gymnastics and art shows. Exactly how I always imagined it would be to have a sister. I still remember cleary that day at the ultrasound as I was laying there waiting for them to tell Tim and I what we were having the second time around. Deep down I felt like I knew it was a girl but then in true "Brooklyn style" the umbilitcal cord was between her legs so the tech didn't want to give us a definite answer and so we had to come back in three weeks. Three weeks later I again was laying there waiting to hear what we were carrying and when they said girl my eyes lit up and I was so excited because I loved the idea of sisters, two girls sharing life, it's ups and downs and everything in between.
Girls, I love how you help one another, compromise, giggle until you are on the floor laughing...I love how you share your unique and different personalities with one another. It isn't rare for me to find the two of you snuggled in one of your beds reading together after I finished putting Carter down. Or counting down the days until it's a Friday and not a school night so you can sleep in the others room. I pray that as you continue to discover this sister bond of together and the special love God gives sisters, that it grows, deepens and gives you that special relationshoip that only sisters share with one another.
