Summer Full of Friends

Back in June I posted on one of my BFF's coming in town with her son Owen. I happened to hit the snooze button all weekend with my camera because I could since Shawna has become an incredible photographer! I love her pics and what an awesome feeling to know that the weekend was being captured without me struggling and getting blurry pictures all at the same time...beautiful. And because I am not a fan of recreating the wheel or messing with a good thing I am posting the link to her blog where she wrote SIX posts on her trip here.

Below is the link to the first one and the rest are after. Enjoy her wonderful posts thanks to my laziness! Memories were too good to pass up not posting about though!

And then in July I got to see another one of my BFF's again...does it get any better than two in one summer especially since these were the girls that I was lounging across pillow filled dorm room beds dreaming about the days we would all live next door to each other and raise our kids together...our kids would love each other, our husbands would golf together and we would sit and chat with coffee or wine in our hands while they played in the plush green grass. Well considering that there are 6 babes between us and three states and an average of about two years between visits it has become a vast difference in our college day dreams...BUT when the day does come along we find ourselves trying to soak up every last word, catching up quickly and trying to connect with these beautiful kids all in too short of time. I am grateful Jess & Cooper met up with us for the day. I love this girl and love talking about God and family with her! She can make me laugh like no other and she can make fun of me without making me cry :) that's a sign of a true friend.

Some pictures from our day

At this point my camera had been taken over by a certain 4 year old...

Just looked at all of Shawna's pictures from her visit to Kingwood. Looks like you had such a fun time. Kingwood really does look like a nice place to visit. Hopefully we can make the trip sometime! :)
