So we started two weekends ago with three kiddos in tow...
A week ago Monday (8.22.11) we lost the big smiley one...to Third Grade!
I have to say this year was a huge difference in drop off...more grumbling with pictures and this is the ONLY one I managed to snap in the hallway. There is a jump from 2nd to 3rd as far as independence and classroom stuff not just from her but you can tell the distance that her teacher wanted to establish from the parents on that first day. I left and got out to the parking lot and just kinda shook my head like what just happened. And I don't think it will change back from here on out...sniff sniff
So then there were TWO...so what did we do????
And Yes I added the "R" to Third Grader before she got home...mind only half works now
Brooklyn created her very OWN special trail mix for Kennedy as a gift. All I know is she was buried in the pantry for a LONG time and there was a trail of everything she used across the floor of the pantry. She then found a past party extra paper cup, filled it with homemade trail mix then proceeded to wrap it in gift wrap and put a handle on it...cracks me up...and Kennedy is the sweet big sister who makes as big of a deal of it as Brooklyn makes putting it together!
Two sign year...B wanted to make her sister her own sign...don't ask why they are crumpled and crooked...I am sure this will be a conversation that will come up one Thanksgiving dinner as we are all sitting around the table saying, remember that first day of school back in 3rd grade when :)
So after a week with the two Krispy Makers we then said goodbye to this one today. We have so many pictures to share of her own day.
Then there was ONE...a cute one at that! Such a fun day to spend it with my little man! He has become quite the talker so we stayed busy but I think by mid morning after asking for the tenth time..."where'd KK go or where'd B go?" he was ready for them to come back.
