Car had a new FIRST back in September! And any first definitely must be documented...
I didn't tell the kids where we were going...first stop though was to pick up KK a little early from school... she didn't know we were coming and I like surprising her here and there. They had to guess the whole way and they tried and came up with some good guesses (the airport-wishful thinking girls, the fountain, donuts :)). We pulled up to our little movie theatre and they screamed. We were behind the times a bit and hadn't made it to see Lion King but armed with our own brown lunch sacks of popcorn with m&m's and candy corns (it's cheaper and I am cheap at the movies) we headed in for Carter's 1st movie.
What happened next was just comical and busy but let's just say we will be saving the movie thing for when Carter turns 3.
He went from scared to death and gripping my neck so tight (and this was just the previews) to being OVER it only 20 minutes into the flick...once he had found all his m&m's, sucked down his ICEE and eaten half of a ring pop. So what did he do the rest of the time??
Classic Carter here...he read and played cars! Give the kid a book and a car and he is H-A-P-P-Y! He scootched his way towards the aisle because of the lights...you need lights to vroom your cars in a dark theatre! Learn something new everyday from this kid!
And this picture just makes me laugh. So typical of trying to get a picture of all the kids and this truly reflects their personalities to a tee. Brooklyn and Carter screaming and Kennedy not looking because the sun is hurting her eyes...love them all!
