After the 3.5 hour flight to Disneyland this felt like a walk in the park and a super quick flight. Mr. Carter manages to keep himself busy thanks to mama's bag of tricks and of course snacks, lots and lots of snacks. I wanted to capture what kept him busy at two so I can remember the sweet things since he keeps growing too fast for me.
These are a must have...started this when he was 18 mos. old and still works every time. Window clings, seriously keeps him busy for awhile and adds some FALL cheer to the plane!
Post it notes...amazing what you can do with post it notes.
"Making notes mama." "Workin mama."
Talented kid or what?? He can even stand up and note take...how's that for smart!
My sweet girls had to sit together in front of our row...4 people flying, one adult with only 3 seats per row takes some figuring out which set up is best. I can hand them stuff from the row behind and I love when they glance back, peeking their eyes through the seats to make sure we are still there and Brooklyn's "I love you mama" are extra special through the seats. They help one another, read together and play Barbies too.
What I didn't capture was the giggling between Carter and me after he went to open his thermos cup that sweet mama had filled to the top with his FAV chocolate milk. Well all is great with chocolate milk UNTIL you take off in the air and the cabin pressure was a little too much for that little straw cup. I am sure that chocolate covered more than just Carter's face, the walls, windows and our chairs...it probably got the people behind us too...oops. And it was one of those moments that we both just stared at each other (ya know the way a two year old and a mama stare) we're quiet and then at the exact same time both busted out laughing and didn't stop for awhile. Until it was time to clean up the walls, windows, seats and his face.
BUT what I did capture is this sweet photo of what I saw when I peeked through the seats as we were descending...my heart got big and I couldn't help but smile and name one more thing this week that I am SO thankful for...sisters comforting each other as they grabbed hands to say it's ok as the plane started down. It's going to be a good week, a VERY thankful week!
