Happy 3rd Best Buddy!

So my baby is THREE today! Not sure how it happened but it happened so fast. I didn't want the day to end because I didn't want any more time to go by that would make him any older. He is my baby and the fact that he went to bed a 3 year old means it is going too fast. I am so thankful for Carter as I am of the girls but I am thankful for Carter for giving me so much MORE perspective about life, little ones and being a mama than I could have ever imagined. Each of my kids has made me a better mom but Carter, my last gave me new perspective. I could write forever about the one who made me a boy mama.

Like how his favorite saying is, "you're my best buddy!" but the cutest part is he changes so many times throughout the day depending on whose around and who catches his eye. He says it between Tim and me and it makes for a fun little parenting competition. He says it to his sisters while running up and giving them big hugs. He says it to Nonie, Poppy, Uncle B, Carson and all his little friends here. He even says it to the girls' friends! And he fell in love with Miss Betsy this past weekend (in AZ) and because he FALLS fast for the ladies he was already telling her after their first hide and seek date that she was his best buddy and he loves her too. And when she called with Uncle B to wish him a Happy Birthday today he told her he wants to "come over to your house." He falls fast and he falls for the cute ones, look out he is definitely a charmer.

I can't wait to share more of what this special little guy is into right now, what a lovey he is and his other favorites...but I am still staring at packed suitcases, hats, dresses, heels, laundry, more laundry, birthday party details to plan and looking at all the pictures from a very fun birthday celebration day, from first thing this morning until the very last Happy Birthday song when we were rocking to sleep. Didn't want the day to end! Plus need to throw in some sleep too to recover from all those Derby bets.
