I have so many memories stored from childhood of family weekends and growing up around cousins. I think that's why these little moments are so special to me - something simple like heading to the grassy park by my mom's on a Saturday morning kicking the soccer ball around in attempt at playing a game means so much. I love looking around and being surrounded by the people I love and the people that adore my kids and shower them with love. That's what I miss most about being far away from family, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. This was one of those moments that I had a perma smile on my face and was so glad my kids have these memories to hold on to.

This happened to be the Saturday morning of my mom's surprise birthday! We were all trying to play it cool and just relax that day, not have a ton planned but continue to fill the day like nothing was happening. This was post coffee and newspaper on her patio which is ONE
of the many things I love about being home.
