Brooklyn's 7th

We had a day full of surprises for this sweet seven year old! We played it off and kept asking her what she wanted to do...the only ones in on the surprises were moi, daddy & Nonie. She thought we were on our way to lunch but first had to make a pit stop at the airport to pick  up Papaw who was flying in that morning and didn't have a ride home! Little did she know Papaw turned out to be...

It was so cute...we pulled up and Carter says, "is that Nonie?" He was the first one to see her. It was priceless. You could still see the girls trying to figure out why Nonie was here and Papaw wasn't.

After we picked up Nonie we just said we were going to lunch...we didn't say where and just kept driving and no said a word...until they saw THIS SIGN...

Nonie had never been to the American Girls Store with us and this was the day! What a fun a special way to spend Brooklyn's birthday day - and it was all a surprise.

She was super excited and so sweet to watch her face and appreciation!

She had been saving up for Saige but then got a gift card from family for her birthday and was able to take this little doll home!

Watching the girls in the store ooohhhh and aaaahhhh over everything is so fun. And I think my mom and I were doing the same thing. Just bummed we didn't come up with this idea.

Had a little birthday lunch in the American Girl Cafe...

What a fun way to spend turning SEVEN! Brooklyn & Saige

After AG we were heading home and just had one more little birthday gift that had been on Brooklyn's list for the last 9 months...and she really didn't think she got it. In fact that morning she had said the only thing I wanted that I didn't get was a bike, but that's ok I will just ask for it for Christmas. And she meant it! Maybe that's why it's so fun to surprise her and to pull out the last gift when we get home...

She had been riding her too small bike for a while and her little legs had to work so hard. She was itching to be able to ride with the wind on a bigger bike and this one fit her just perfectly! She has been on it everyday since and I love watching her ride away.

Love love this picture for many reasons...sisters riding together, the beautiful incredible weather we had this afternoon and the fact that K is riding her bike again after her trampoline accident last month!!!

Her dessert of choice - cookie cake of course!

After the festivities we had some work to do! Helping to make her cupcakes for her birthday party the next day. I wasn't about to have a Nonie in town and not have a birthday party for her to be my sidekick on...everyone needs a Nonie on party days!!

Yumm Yumm!

Happy Birthday Sweet Brooklyn! What a fabulous surprise birthday day we had!
