Brookyn had a pre-op appointment the Tuesday before her surgery. It is about 45 minutes away and I decided this would be a great day to get a babysitter for the other two, take Brooklyn to her appointment and make a date out of it.
She indulged mommy in one of my favorite stores and looked around and found some goodies!
There is an advantage of having a date by yourself because it makes for more time for the little stuff...
"Mommy, take a picture of me in this cute dressing room!"
Being alone ensures that you get to push ALL elevator buttons all by yourself every time!Our date did hit one snafu...
Dear Carousel Maintenance Persons: Did anyone ever tell you that closing down a carousel for maintenace in the middle of a summer day is the worst possible timing ever, especially for a mommy who had already built up that her little girl would be able to ride the carousel not one time but two times and that was the main reason for going to your mall in the first place.
No carousel, no problem that just means mommy makes it up with two treats. She had asked for a cookie after playing for a bit and I of course said yes, this was all before the carousel closing debacle and I was unaware of this. So as we turn around looking for someone to ask if it would be closed ALL day we found the fabulous dipn dots place. For some reason dipn dots make carousel closings not as important!
Our last stop, the kids version of one of my favorite stores...let me tell you this little sunshine could have played in here for hours. "Mommy, I am going to play store and office and pretend this is my very own room!" I smiled because I could totally relate when I look around the store and want to pretend these are my own rooms too!
