I Can't Believe

It has been 2 1/2 weeks since I have blogged

That it is already May

That I just wrote my last check for Brooklyn's 3 yr old preschool year

That my baby, my sweet litte boy is about to be TWO

That I just watched my oldest finish her gymnastics performance with the biggest and proudest smile! She has come so far and has worked at something that wasn't the easiest for her. She struggled watching others around her as she saw how naturally and easy it came to them and she had to work extra hard. Is she the best gymnast, no but I would take 100 of her anyday with her attitude, determination and smile!

That we just watched Brooklyn shine in her 2nd dance recital and what a dancer she has become this year. The girl can't walk without dancing, leaping, pirouetting (if that is even a word with that ending). She takes it very seriously and I think, just think she may have found her niche.

That I just got an email update for Carter's age and it said your TWO year old PRESCHOOLER. Ummmm don't think so, in my book two is still a toddler. Come on people they grow up fast enough you don't need to be calling two year olds preschoolers already!

I can't believe how emotional I get this time of year. It happens EVERY year...the end of school, the craziness of the school year all coming to an end and looking at each of my kids and seeing HOW much they have truly grown, changed and it keeps feeling faster and faster each year. I find myself in tears way easier this time of year and more often and I am so not a cryer!

We have spent the last few weeks celebrating Easter, trying to teach Brooklyn that even though she "thinks" she is 10 she still has to act like a 4 1/2 year old. Tim and I have gotten the itch again to finish some of those little projects that call for you at night but often get neglected because either you are just plain too tired, there is something else to be done or just some good old reality tv is on! And I always forget that the end of the school year whirlwind is almost as crazy as Christmas time....throw in a birthday party and a Nonie coming in town and getting ready for some of our own vacation it makes for no blogging.

In the meantime here if my cute little firefighter trying his role on for his birthday party. Pull the sirens the fire is at this station!

And this is pretty much what Carter thinks of all that has been going on lately. The beautiful weather, fresh air and a jog with his favorite book right now is all he needed for some peace!

And this was exactly a year ago! Same stroller but half the size...what a year big guy. Love seeing you every morning and you saying good morning to everything and being the recipient of your hugs, kisses, and target for your ball throwing practice! So glad you blessed our lives!
