Rescue Heros Invited!

We had Carter's birthday bash on May 7th, the day before his actual birthday...firefighter style. He LOVES fire trucks and usually we know one is around before we see it because he spots it first and gives us the whooo whooo sound. His fire truck books are the first ones he picks out in the morning or wants to take to bed with him and if we get real lucky we will be heading into the grocery store at the same time one is parked in front of the store with the heros inside grabbing their own supplies.

He had been practicing blowing out the candles and singing happy birthday which really comes out happy bir day on a clear day but boy does the champ get the spitting I mean blowing out the candles part. He even threw in a cha cha cha after we all finished singing for him (courtesy of the teachings of his beautiful sisters) and clapped and threw his hands up in the air to celebrate. The kid loves a party! I will save the rest of the birthday sentiments for his birthday post but here are some fun pictures from the birthday fire fighter and his crew!

cracked me up that he loved the Hot Tamales...

The kids babysitters even dropped by the station...the kids were surprised and excited!

Love this picture...we played a relay water game and Tim was one of the kids!

Marian Family
Three Generations...Papaw, Tim & Car

The Nonie who is always right there helping at so many parties and who Carter adores and talks to on the phone regularly!

Some of the goodies...

The chocolate dipped match stix were fun and the hit. I saw the idea online with little pretzel sticks...so I wanted to duplicate it with big pretzel sticks.

We did the little pretzel sticks too but they melted pretty quick thanks to good old Texas heat! We know you don't normally play with matches but at this party you could eat them!

Looks like such a fun party and I love all the cute decorations! The match stick pretzels are the best! If Carter is really in to fire fighter stuff, next time you are in AZ let me know if you want to plan a day to visit Ryan at the fire station?
