Last Call...

For a 3's Preschooler:

Last peek through the window. This window was where I stood to watch Kennedy 4 years ago and now Brooklyn as she made her way into the classroom for the day. Sometimes she saw me and sometimes she didn't but on the days that she did see me it gave us one more chance for one last wave, blowing a kiss, smile and lots of times this little sunshine would run over and kiss Carter through the window. This picture to me is absolutely priceless!

Her smile was infectious...she was so excited for the last day full of celebrations and it made me excited for her!

Last walk on the "balance beam." At the beginning of the year there were lots of falls, wobbles and hand holding and now she is a pro at the parking lot gymnastics event. And yes, she did this each day she walked into school and each day she walked out!

Brooklyn's teachers, Mrs. West & Mrs. Morales

Oh our little Beiber (and yes we called her this way before the whole Justin Bieber phenomenon). Where has the year gone with my little miss sunshine, monkey girl who didn't want to go back to preschool after that first day. You turned into this same little girl who dashed into class with a smile, an excited hi for your teachers and friends and quickly started making your own playdates with your friends. The second time around goes way faster and I can't believe the year is over. You grew much taller and more confident in many things...you also grew way more opinionated and definitely fight your way to be heard...which is a good thing but also you are learning the right way to go about being heard :). I love how you brush things off quickly, that you don't let the little stuff or change of a situation bother you and how you make us smile and laugh with your creativity and out of the box thinking each and every day. My favorite parts of the year was helping in your classroom parties, picking you up and hearing all the details about your day and how much fun you had having your own thing to talk about and share about in the evening.

For a 2nd Grader:

Kennedy and her friend London making sure they moved on to 3rd Grade :)

The girls were so excited for the last day of school...and quickly moved on to a fun end of year pool party at one of their houses.

Kennedy & Madison...they met in Kindergarten and are still friends.

Last walk of 2nd grade! Let the summer "no schedule" begin!!

Kennedy, it was amazing to watch you change right before my eyes this year. It happened more towards the end of the year. You went from this 2nd grader to this young girl who isn't so little anymore. It isn't just me either, when we are around family friends they just look at me and say oh my goodness Kennedy has really grown up. You are way more flexible, funny and share your humor and laughs (jokes too) with your family. We have some fun conversations, some serious ones and lots of heart to hearts. You are starting to get life and its fun to be your mama and watch it all happen. You are so mature and usually have way more common sense than some adults I know! You started sleeping over at some friends this year and although the house is too quiet without you and it feels totally different to not have your smile at the dinner table or kiss you goodnight my favorite part is when you call us to say goodnight (always) you always tell me the details of your night, say I love you and then ask for your daddy. And while you are growing up so fast and beautifully, when you call your voice sounds small and younger and it makes me smile that you still need to say goodnight to your mama and daddy!
