And then last week she started her FIRST dance class. She looked so stinkin cute in her leotard and ballet shoes (and of course the little panties sticking out of the leotard). I was curious to see what she would be like as this was her first experience in a class with other kids without me right there. She loved it and followed the teacher and listened great. And in class Brooklyn doesn't walk anywhere, she bounces to each activity, the girl never runs out of energy! She takes her turn and then goes right back for another (and the teachers have to gently remind her that she has to sit down and wait her turn again).
It was surreal for me and I got a big lump in my throat at one point watching Brooklyn through the window following these dance steps and directions knowing that when Kennedy started her first dance class Brooklyn was my baby at only 9 months old. So now I sit with Kennedy on my right cheering on her sister and holding Carter in my arms. See I think that lump is coming right back now. I love watching Brooklyn love life. She has the pizazz I always wished I had, she will say whatever is on her mind and she is the funniest little girl I have ever been around. She makes our family laugh more, smile more, and love life more and for that I am so grateful God chose me to be her mommy. And I am glad she is my second because I can appreciate her so much more just the way she is!:)!
