Mission: Santa Pictures 2011

These two make any mission easy. No worries here...I kept flashing back to the "mission" last year. I wondered though if maybe this was the year and then when we got to the toy store Carter took off to the train table. Not one glimpse or wave to the Jolly Old Man. The girls were patiently waiting in line as the one little boy in front of us was just sitting there smiling making his first time parents oh so happy. And then out of the blue this cute little thing comes out of no where jumping into this little conversation between Santa and the one year old.

Before leaving for the Toy Store to visit Santa all three kids sat down with pens and paper in hand. Well Carter sat on my lap and told me "trains, mama, trains." So thankfully at our neighborhood block party last April another mom had given me a train drawing lesson. So armed with a red marker I sat and drew Carter the fanciest train picture for Santa...only the best for Mr. C. Well Carter must have made the glimpse at the right time because he ran over, train picture in hand. I quickly glanced at the first time mommy and daddy to make sure they weren't peeved at my cute 2 year old because I was full on prepared to reinact the past two years of Mission Attempts with them right there in line. I think Santa hooked him in with his oohs and ahhhs of his list so with his train buddy Brewster in hand, Carter jumped up on Santa's lap like he was a pro. No tears, no fighting just a happy little boy with his train and his sisters cheering him on. Carter's eternal cheerleaders!

This one makes me laugh - classic faces

Note to self, Disneyland and Santa pics require a point and shoot camera!

Blurry yes, full group shot, gotta post future memories beat out blurriness!

Mission Accomplished!
