No, not the last time at the dentist. But the last first time dentist appointment took place with this big guy a few weeks ago. He was a superstar but I was questioning the whole experience when it started. He got this look on his face like he was GOING TO LOSE IT. He has been an observer at the dentist for the last few years with all of our appointments. He just goes and tags along, whether it's my appointment or the girls and so he knows how it goes down. But this was different, it was his turn. But it turns out that it was that initial fear and that first climb up in the chair and then you would have never known he had any fear, he was a dental superstar. Of course he needed the shades for the light. I was so proud of him. And our hygienist just happened to ask because she always does if he could try flouride knowing that most of her little patients don't or can't do it. Well she told Carter what to do and that he had to try to hold it in his mouth for a full minute and that if before she was done counting he needed to spit it out to raise his hand. Well she counted and counted and she finally reached 60 and the cutie pie raised his hand as high and fast as he could. Wish I would have snapped that picture but I was laughing and smiling too hard. Doesn't take much to make this mama smile, just a little flouride and a certain 3 year old.

Way to go big guy...you truly are growing up.
Dentist down and no pull ups at night anymore. Where are the little years going??
