Table Setting Still Waiting

The night after my mom (Nonie) left here after visiting for 10 days the girls were setting the table for dinner and Brooklyn took out 5 napkins and layed them all out. She then told me where everyone was sitting and there was a place for my mom. She said this place is for Nonie. I smiled and sadly said, "Brooklyn remember we took Nonie to the airport earlier, she had to go home." Of course Brooklyn said, "why?" Ya, I ask that sometimes too :).

We had such a great time with my mom. It was so neat to see her meet and hold Carter for the first time...her first grandson. She is so good with babies and I love seeing her with my kids. The girls adored her and took up every moment they could. And my mom never ran out of energy, amazing! She has taught me so much and is so encouraging and helpful in daily situations. We loved having you here mom and miss you so much already. How can I ever thank you for ALL you did. You were that extra set of hands that were always there and ready. Your support is immeasurable and I know Tim was spoiled with all the laundry :) I don't think his has been touched since, maybe that's why he asked when you were coming back.

Carter was asleep in my arms the other day and I was listening to my voicemails. My mom had left one for the girls and as soon as her voice came on the phone Carter's eyes popped open for a second and then he peacefully went back to sleep. Nonie leaves that impression on everyone, especially Kennedy, Brooklyn and Carter. We love you mom and I am so glad God gave my kids such a special grandma and someone who taught their mom (me)so much. We love you!`
