So we kept it simple, way simple for my normal birthday party mind swirling ideas. I can't help it mostly, I love the planning, the details and seeing it all play out but this year the reality set in and we kept it way simple. Pool party with just our closest friends and Papaw & Judy too. I stole my friend Shawna's (Seattle Shawna, have to clarify since there are so many wonderful Shawna's in my life) food ideas with boxed lunches. Wish I would have gotten a picture because they turned out cute and that was that. I had imagined making our own pool cake with everyone helping and the week before I actually woke up from that dream and jetted on over to the grocery store and picked out the same kind with less stress. The pool was cold but the kids didn't seem to mind (the dads neither) and that was that. Brooklyn just loved when everyone sang to her, when she got to open her presents and that it was her special day. Thanks everyone for blessing her life and helping us celebrate her birthday!

Glad the lunch boxes were a hit! I didn't get any good pictures of ours at Owen's party either. I need to start taking pics of the little details like that! Looks like her party was perfect in every way!
