An OUCH Kind of Day

So this was our morning this morning...they were tough cookies, some tears but they ended quickly. The highlight of the trip to the dr.'s was when the full waiting room happened to be pretty quiet for a few seconds and that is when Brooklyn who was playing with a toy in the center of the room broke out singing Indescribable by Chris Tomlin. My heart was smiling inside! Love that little girl so much! Just the other day she asked me if Jesus was in her tummy? I said, "no Brooklyn, Jesus is in your heart." "Why mommy, why is Jesus in my heart?" "Because he loves you very much Brooklyn." "Ok mommy!"

And then Kennedy was upset that it was raining outside and we couldn't go swimming the other day like we had talked about. So along with the first grade tough attitude that we are uncovering she said it was my fault (did I mention the attitude???) so as my mouth was half hanging open from her comment Brooklyn was half way down the stairs and says, "Noooo, Kennedy it's not mommy's fault, it's God's fault, He controls the weather KK, didn't you know that?"

Now that is cute! I read that our children always try to be better than us, so they blame us because then they are better and that is part of being a mom and just smiling knowing what they are up to, sounds like KK has figured that out!!! Very cute!
