Hearts All Around

Valentine's Day kinda swept through our house for two days...no surprise with that though, celebrations tend to last awhile; mostly because we like to celebrate but mostly because it just takes two days to get it all in and to clean it all up. If the mess is still out you might as well keep celebrating!

We ate heart shaped food, decorated hearts, wrote notes on hearts for Tim, baked hearts, gifted hearts (heart fudge for teachers, so fun and delicious...believe me WE KNOW first hand...you would have thought Tim and I were two teachers last week!

Our yummy tradition of chocolate fondue on Valentine's Day. We did this the night before Valentine's Day since it was a Sunday night. Fondue is fondue whether on a Sunday or Monday!

This is Carter's "I won't share my marshmallow face" I think he kinda liked it.
Last year he had crashed in his crib, this year he wasn't about to miss the action.

Anything and everything can be turned into hearts!

Found this idea online: unroll the refrigerated jumbo cinnamon rolls and
re~roll into hearts, voila!

Valentine's sword fights...because doesn't everyone have sword fights on Valentine's morning??
Again, courtesy of the Target dollar section and offering hours of fun to span the ages of all three kids.

A very special Valentines box with a special Valentine's American Girl dress from Nonie!

Again, found this idea online and knew Tim would love it and we would have fun surprising Tim with it after work.

The third annual rice krispy heart-a-thon; made and eaten with LOVE! Tim started this and it is the one thing the girls start talking about as soon as they see hearts pop up in the stores...we can't wait for daddy's Valentine's heart rice krispy treats! These are the things I hope they remember always.

And this is Carter's caught face...I caught him shoveling Valentine m&m's in his mouth.

And yes, we are still cleaning up!

The one of Carter getting caught eating Valentine's m&m's so reminds me of Lex! I have the m&m's out of little hand reach but Lex being the clever little thing she is has twice now been caught shoveling m&m's in her mouth after realizing that if she pulls up her little chair to stand on she is just the right height!
Looks like you all had a fun Valentine's Day!
