Inspiring!

Two weekends ago we had the blessing of MY GRANDMA, the kids Great Grandma, Mimi making her very first flight to TX to visit us. Wow! I was driving to the airport and told the kids how lucky they were that they were getting to see their great grandma in our home. I was so proud of her and told her so as she walked down past the security, looking around, knowing I told her we would meet her there. She looked as stylish as ever and I am just sad I didn't pull out my camera for the airport welcome. For her to get on a plane flying to a strange place, strange airport, is inspiring...I guess I have three special little ones who make it pretty worth it!

We didn't have a ton of plans...lots of playing, coloring, a pedicure treat and I wasn't sure what else, but I knew I didn't have to worry too much about her getting tired and not keeping up when I came out of the garage from getting her suitcases out of the car and saw this...

Her real birthday may have been at the beginning of January, but we still gave a birthday dinner and wrapped up the end of the month with a special celebration, Studdert Style...decorating your own chocolate brownies.

She looks a little too much like a pro...oops!

The last night we took Mimi out and gave her a taste of "real" Mexican food...Tex Mex. She, like everyone else came to the conclusion it's the queso, you just put queso on everything and it truly makes it better!

Thanks Mimi for such a special weekend with you. Memories I am so grateful my kids will have forever. We love you!!!
