Christmas Eve was full of cooking, some park time (beautiful day but ditched my camera for play time with kids), crafting, reindeer food, dancing, Christmas shows, and getting ready for church which all looked like this...
All ready for church early - so this is where they head
No tights were ripped in the process so we headed off to church in one piece! Church is a whole different story. We laugh each year like we forget what taking kids, who are overly excited for Jolly St. Nick, to church sitting in the main service on Christmas Eve looks like. Not to mention when we sit in the pew in front of our family friends with three kids and the non stop laughing and chatting that goes on...oh and dropping stuff - dropping the Silent Night candles about 150 times (seriously), nasty looks from the lady in front of us who either forgot what it's like to have excited kids on Christmas Eve or never had kids. Joy of the Season people! The best part was watching Carter sing Christmas Songs, taking communion (the kids partake on Christmas Eve) the boy knew he wanted a BIG chunk of bread and seriously ripped half of the loaf out of the lady's hand and carried his juice all the way back to his seat, tipped it and proceeded to spill half of it on his sweater and then yelling out MMMMM that was good juice can I have more - and the girls shrieking, oh that's Jesus's blood on your sweater Carter...cue his laughing. Tim and I just pass looks between each other thinking I hope people think this is as cute as we do and thank you Jesus for these children and crazy Christmas Eve services and for not letting Carter catch anyone's hair on fire during Silent Night
JOY TO THE WORLD!
I know my mom won't love this picture with her eyes closed but I think it's too funny with Brooklyn and Carter -
My little photogenic funny girl...
Teaching her Nonie her tricks
He adores his Nonie - LOVE
Love my two girls and they are so blessed to have each other
Starting to get a little crazy as Carter went all WWF with the hugs
On to writing a quick note to Santa...
This was probably the funniest moment of Christmas Eve...the girls got a Karaoke machine from a family friend. It brought more laughs and smiles BUT the trophy definitely goes to Nonie who out of no where comes around the corner and busts out with Gangnam Style - OH yes moves and all. I really thought Tim was going to lose it with how hard he was laughing. This grandma's got moves like no other and I for one am proud that she is my mama - she likes to say she taught me everything I know!
Waiting for Glitter Wars Reindeer Food time to begin
This full on turned into Glitter Wars with the sequel coming next year I am sure as this football throwing boy decided he loves to throw glitter at people as hard as he can - I think we are still washing glitter out of our hair! Lots of laughs and a yard gleaming bright for Rudolph
Leaving Santa his cookies and fudge and milk - carrots for Rudolph and of course tasting them all before heading to bed... Merry Christmas to ALL and to ALL a Good Night!
