Back on November 27, 2012 my first born, the one who made me a mama turned TEN! A whole new decade for her and she reminded us daily that she was almost double digits. She proudly exclaimed to her brother and sister that she used all her fingers now to mark how old she was. I am one who always says I can't believe my kids turn any age so that is nothing new BUT...TEN is BIG really big! I feel honored and blessed that God chose me to be this little one's mama for the past 10 years. She is the most conscientious, thoughtful, helpful, loving, polite, responsible, and honest little girl. I can slowly picture all of the past birthdays, cakes and faces that accompanied this growing tween in all the years and am so thankful she is mine. I see the Elmo loving 2nd birthday, the painting party 3rd birthday with her eyes so big and smile so bright as they got to paint the fences. The fun loving candy filled Candy Land 4th and the Pajama Party 5th. We slowly worked our way to sleepovers and friends changed but this 10 year old has grown leaps and bounds this past year. She loves loves 4th grade, is learning so much and improving in soccer and is having a blast as basketball is underway and her daddy is her coach. She is slowly playing with her Barbies less and other things are occupying her time. If you don't find her inside doing legos, art or playing on her iTouch she is almost always outside kicking the soccer ball or doing something outdoors. She wakes up to an alarm and comes downstairs all ready and I never have to wonder if she did everything because it's already done...she is the one who will put up all her stuff after school and put her homework before a snack just to get it done. I am thankful she has a younger sister so that girly girly doll/barbie and princess stuff is still very present and she does still play when we all play together. She loves to be with friends but also loves the time we are all together as a family. I have mentioned a time or ten her love for football already but she is hooked! I am the blessed one that she calls me mommy.

| I love this picture - of her first thing in the morning checking out her table and a little something that was left at her spot to celebrate her day. |
| A closer look - it's a new devotion and she opened it right away and ready one - she is growing up into such a beautiful person I am amazed. |
| 1st birthday call of the morning - thanks Bebe |
How did she choose to spend her day...well it was a school day and because Nonie was in town she convinced us that it would be fun for us to spend the day together! How could I argue with a ten year old? We started the day at La Madelaine for her favorite croissants and eggs where we gave her her first gift.
| Brooklyn was only going to join us at breakfast and then head off to school but the girls grabbed hands and Kennedy asks if Brooklyn could please please please stay home to celebrate her birthday too so we could all be together. I guess I am not that hard of a mom to convince. I figure these days are few and they will go fast so it works for me! |
| So blessed that Nonie was in town (Tim and I were leaving the next day for NY) to help celebrate. Birthdays are extra special when family can be in town to share them. |
Kennedy takes her time opening and reading each card carefully before she moves on to the present.

This girl loves her Legos...she is super fast and loves putting them together! Nonie let her open her new set so she and Brooklyn could spend the cold and wet day working on it at home.
| She of course chose Tacos for her birthday dinner, but not just any tacos...Tacos made by Nonie! Followed by presents and her birthday dessert of brownies and ice cream. |
| Happy 10th birthday to my favorite, smart, sweet, caring, sensitive, stubborn, disciplined, structured, thoughtful, honest, sport loving, kind, God loving girl! I love you more!!! |
