Sure we had the complaining before, the fighting among brothers and sisters, someone got hurt and there was a time or two as I looked at the clock thinking it's a school night and it's getting later waiting for Tim that I almost changed my mind. So glad I didn't because these are the things I hope my kids remember. Not the production/idea of it but the family time, the laughs and let us not forget the priceless conversation that was heard from the backseat....
We are that family that says out loud what we are thinking in our head...so we all take turns, not intentionally saying things like Oh look at those trees, oh look at those colored lights, oh there's Santa...basically an audio version of Christmas light night. Tim pipes up and says look at all those reefs. To which my now 10 year old says, "what are reefs dad?" but knowing exactly what he meant, but K is not one to let a moment like this pass her by to give her dad a hard time, one which he has taught her well.
But, before anyone could answer, Brooklyn whispers loudly, "It's OK Kennedy, daddy just has a Texas accent that's why he says reefs."
all ready to go with tickets, hot chocolate and popcorn
our favorite house to check out!
